Choose Your Email Provider

WhautoMail supports two major email service providers. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

AWS SES (Amazon Simple Email Service)

Pros

  • Cost-Effective: $0.10 per 1,000 emails (after free tier)
  • High Volume: Excellent for sending large volumes
  • Scalability: Automatically scales with your needs
  • Reliability: Built on AWS infrastructure

Cons

  • Setup Complexity: Requires AWS account and configuration
  • Sandbox Mode: Starts in sandbox mode, requires production access request
  • Learning Curve: More technical setup required

Best For

  • High-volume senders (100,000+ emails/month)
  • Companies already using AWS services
  • Cost-conscious businesses
  • Technical teams comfortable with AWS

Getting Started

See AWS SES Configuration for setup instructions.

Moving Out of Sandbox

AWS SES starts in sandbox mode with restrictions. You'll need to request production access to send to any email address. This typically takes 24-48 hours for approval. Plan accordingly when setting up your account.

Mailgun

Pros

  • Easy Setup: Quick and straightforward configuration
  • Great Deliverability: Excellent inbox placement rates
  • Developer-Friendly: Simple API and documentation
  • No Sandbox: Ready to send immediately

Cons

  • Higher Cost: More expensive than AWS SES at scale
  • Volume Limits: Pricing tiers based on volume

Best For

  • Small to medium-volume senders
  • Teams wanting quick setup
  • Companies prioritizing ease of use
  • Businesses without AWS experience
