Learn how to add, edit, and manage your contacts in WhautoMail.


👥 How to Add a New Contact

Your Contacts are the heart of your email campaigns. Adding them is quick and simple in WhautoMail. Follow the steps below to create a new contact.

Step 1: Go to the Contacts Section

  1. Open the WhautoMail app
  2. From the left-hand menu, select Audience
  3. Click on Contacts to continue

Step 2: Add a New Contact

  1. Click the + New Contact button
  2. A form will appear to enter your contact details

Step 3: Enter Contact Information

Fill in the following fields:

  • Name: Enter the contact's full name
  • Email Address: Enter their valid email ID
  • Status: Choose one of the following options:
    • Subscribed – The contact has agreed to receive your emails
    • Pending – Use this for double opt-in. Use the double opt-in automation to get the contact to subscribe.
  • Tags (Optional): Add tags to organize your contacts (e.g., New Lead, Customer, Newsletter List)

Once done, click Save to add the contact successfully.

Here's an example of how your contact might look:

Name: John Doe
Email: johndoe@email.com
Status: Subscribed
Tag: New Lead

That's it! You've successfully added a new contact to your WhautoMail audience.

Using Tags

Using Tags helps you easily segment your contacts later when creating email campaigns — for example, sending specific messages to New Leads or Active Customers.
