Whautomate Integration

Integrate Whautomate with WhautoMail to automatically create email contacts whenever a new client is added in Whautomate. This helps you keep your audience list updated without manual work.

πŸ“₯ Step 1: Configure Integration in WhautoMail​

  1. Open the WhautoMail app and go to the Integrations menu on the left side

  2. Find the Whautomate integration card and click Connect

  3. Copy the Webhook URL that appears on the screen

  4. Choose how new contacts should be created using Create Contact As:

    • Subscribed
    • Pending (Recommended for double opt-in workflows)

    Note: Pending contacts will automatically receive a double opt-in email if you have the Double Opt-in Automation enabled.

  5. Click Save Integration to finish the WhautoMail side setup

βš™οΈ Step 2: Configure Webhook in Whautomate​

  1. Open the Whautomate app and navigate to the Integrations section
  2. Click the Connect button under the Webhooks integration
  3. Click the New Webhook button
  4. Enter a webhook name, for example: WhautoMail
  5. Paste the Webhook URL you copied earlier into the Server URL field
  6. Under Events, select Client Created
  7. Enable the Active toggle to turn on the webhook
  8. Click Save to complete the setup

πŸŽ‰ Result: Automatic Contact Creation​

Whenever you add a new client in the Whautomate app (with an email ID), the system will automatically create a contact inside WhautoMailβ€”saving you time and ensuring your email list stays up to date.

Troubleshooting​

  • Webhook not working?

    • Verify the webhook URL is correctly copied and pasted
    • Ensure the webhook is set to Active in Whautomate
    • Check that the Client Created event is selected
  • Contacts not appearing in WhautoMail?

    • Confirm the contact has a valid email address in Whautomate
    • Check your spam/junk folder for the double opt-in email (if using Pending status)
    • Verify your internet connection is stable

Best Practices​

  • Test the integration by creating a test client in Whautomate
  • Regularly check your WhautoMail contacts to ensure they're being added correctly
  • If using double opt-in, ensure your Double Opt-in Automation is properly configured in WhautoMail
