Creating Segments
🔍 How to Create a Segment in Whautomail
Segmentation helps you group contacts based on specific criteria so you can send more personalized emails.
Note: By default, Whautomail provides an "All Contacts" segment. To create your own custom segment, follow these steps.
Steps to Create a Segment
- Open the Whautomail app
- From the sidebar, go to Audience → Segments
- Click the + Add Segment button
- Fill in the segment details:
- Segment Name: Give your segment a descriptive name (e.g., Active Customers)
- Workspace: Choose the workspace whose contacts you want to include
- If not selected, contacts from all workspaces will be included
- Contact Stage (Optional): Filter by contact stage (e.g., Lead, Customer)
- Contact Tags (Optional): Include specific contacts using tags (e.g., "Subscriber" or "Customer")
- Exclude Contact Tags (Optional): Exclude certain tags (e.g., "Unsubscribe" or "Do Not Contact")
- Last Activity (Days): Filter contacts based on the number of days since their last activity
- After setting your filters, click Save to create your new segment
Your segment will now appear in the list, ready to be used in campaigns.
