Creating Segments

🔍 How to Create a Segment in Whautomail

Segmentation helps you group contacts based on specific criteria so you can send more personalized emails.

Note: By default, Whautomail provides an "All Contacts" segment. To create your own custom segment, follow these steps.

Steps to Create a Segment

  1. Open the Whautomail app
  2. From the sidebar, go to AudienceSegments
  3. Click the + Add Segment button
  4. Fill in the segment details:
    • Segment Name: Give your segment a descriptive name (e.g., Active Customers)
    • Workspace: Choose the workspace whose contacts you want to include
      • If not selected, contacts from all workspaces will be included
    • Contact Stage (Optional): Filter by contact stage (e.g., Lead, Customer)
    • Contact Tags (Optional): Include specific contacts using tags (e.g., "Subscriber" or "Customer")
    • Exclude Contact Tags (Optional): Exclude certain tags (e.g., "Unsubscribe" or "Do Not Contact")
    • Last Activity (Days): Filter contacts based on the number of days since their last activity
  5. After setting your filters, click Save to create your new segment

Your segment will now appear in the list, ready to be used in campaigns.
